BUG report (please send to bugreport@vamos.de)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have a problem, then do not assume that
someone else has reported it !!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The following question will help to understand your problem.
A statement "vamos does not work" is hard to interpret...
Not all questions may apply to your problem.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In most cases a "info file" may help.
A "info file" can be generated with the following command:
  vamos -d > info.txt
You do not need to install the bootmanager to create this file!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Which version of Vamos are you using ?
(unnecessary if you send an "info file" with the bugreport)

2. Vamos has two components: the installer and the bootmanager.
Which of them does not work ?

3. If you have problems with the installer:

3a: If the installer hangs, please note what message you can see
at the screen and what message is displayed in the bottom line.

3b: Do you have any special harddisk device or mass storage device ?
    (e.g. a ZIP drive, ....)

3c: What kind of hardware are you using ?
(e.g. a Laptop from noname, IBM XT from 1970, ....)

3d: Which version of DOS / Windows95 are you using to execute the
    installer ?
(unnecessary if you send an "info file" with the bugreport)

3e: Are you using any special drivers ?
    (e.g. Diskmanager, EIDE/SCSI driver from noname, ...)

4. If you have problems while booting (with the boomanager)

4a: If the bootmanager hangs: What is the last action on your display
(Vamos shows some dots while booting: "Vamos..... .... ....")
If vamos hangs with the dots still being displayed then please
report the sequence of dots and blanks.

4b: If one of the systems does not boot, then it may be helpful to know
something about the boot configuration settings:
      selected boot partition: (e.g. hd1:P3)
Boot support: "none", "OS/2...", "auto activate"
      list of hidden partitions:
An "info file" will show me all these settings. Just note, which
    configuration does not work.

Please send this bugreport to bugreport@vamos.de.
Your bug report will help to improve vamos.

bye
  Michael Tartsch
